<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Manju</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Today we lost our beloved friend Manju(a.k.a Manja) , keeper of our flock, a binding force among us all and a close friend to everyone.There is no one in our group who was not touched by his friendship.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He lived his life fully as if it was his last. A child like enthusiasm in everything he does. Be it carefully accessorizing his bullet and showing off to all us friends with a child like glee to going all out to collect money for the school magazine.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He valued friendships like anything. He made it a point to be in touch with everyone of us not only through social media, but also through in person meetings. He knew the current life situation of all of us and a simple 5 minute talk with him would update one of the happenings in every one of our lives. He made it a point to personally attend of of our friends weddings and other social occasions.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He was so close to everyone that anyone could say anything to him without bothering he would get hurt. Only when someone is close to your heart , that you take them for granted and say whatever you want. There is no end to the pranks he played and the endless messages he shared on our watsap group. Be it posting a photo of a baby and saying that he had adopted it to pulling everyone's leg. People had to say -" Manja please sleep. It's 12:30 in the night". He was the go to person in our gang for everything.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Behind all this child like innocence hid a mature person. He once said to me that he would not marry and would adopt a child and take care of it till the end. He said he has already convinced his mother for the same.On the same day he said, i might not have a family of my own, so friends are everything to me. That's when i realized why he was so in touch with everyone of us. I remember another instance i was talking to him on phone and sharing with him a felling of guilt of having let go of an important opportunity in life. He said a simple sentence - "You have seen the world enough. Let go. Its time to prioritize your family". That said a lot about the kind of person he was and it meant a lot to me at that point.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We will never get a friend like him. What breaks our heart is to know that God decided to take his life when he was distributing his own wedding card. It makes us realize impermanence of things in life and how cruel can God be sometimes.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Manju . You were a free soul then and you are a free soul now" . May God give his family , especially his mother the strength to go through these difficult times. We will always miss you !!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTWujyvMKlL6MKRByNCUsorP-a3xQ6s7M6FUrb-bWcvTiIsUIotTQHWU-7H0pBRsswla-t49qpQVkmECfeAujPdF4IQP-CXDH6VY-K1bcsmWe6PtZ1IB1pjIO9ntaJI60Xy4zINCxDq6JT/s1600/Decision.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTWujyvMKlL6MKRByNCUsorP-a3xQ6s7M6FUrb-bWcvTiIsUIotTQHWU-7H0pBRsswla-t49qpQVkmECfeAujPdF4IQP-CXDH6VY-K1bcsmWe6PtZ1IB1pjIO9ntaJI60Xy4zINCxDq6JT/s1600/Decision.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Success, they say is nothing but a series of right decisions taken at the right time. But, how do we know our decisions are right, let alone the time.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here are a few leads that i have got through my personal experience :</div>
<div>
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Know what do you want from life</b> : You need to be clear in what you want from life. Otherwise you might choose something that is completely not aligned with your goals and might repent later.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Be clear on what you stand for</b> : You must be clear on what are your values, ethics and what you consider right and wrong.This will tremendously help you make the right decisions.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Letting things go</b> : You are where you are in life, because of the decisions that you have made in the past. There might be a few situations where you feel , you completely goofed up by making a choice. Do not carry the guilt of having made the decision for a long time. The negative feeling will go away with time. Learn from your mistakes and do not do them again.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>When you are faced with difficult choices to make </b>: There will be times when it is very hard to make a choice. It seems like you want everything. But you need to understand the hard truth that you cant have it all. You need to decide based on the priorities at that point in your life. You will always miss certain things and feel that your life would have been different , if you had made the other choice. </li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>Do not weigh in the options too much</b> : Too much thinking will spoil your decisions. They must be somewhere between spontaneous and well though out.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b>The spiritual way of taking the right decision</b> : As the famous spiritual thinker Deepak Chopra says in his book "7 Spiritual Laws for Success" : Firstly ask yourself -" Would this decision that i am taking bring happiness and fulfillment to me and my loved ones ?". If the answer is yes go ahead and take that decision. If you are still unclear on what to do, take a pause from your thoughts and ask yourself the question - " How would i feel , if i make this choice ?" and wait from the signals from your heart. It might be the faintest of the feeling , but you know its there. You will know what feels right and what is wrong. You might say the heart is emotional and mushy and does not use logic while making a decision. But , the heart is in direct touch with the cosmic supercomputer, which can make a series of space time events to get you what you want.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hope you find this was insightful and will make the right decisions leading to success.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-Ph3pbKwwxhs-Ew86FpN9X3i9Oj9_Et6mpvwCDE1JEq3iOTjSk2GQsJ53IsRR4hPeT893Yq7jIfyFcen8D2brCPIlzC5ar2BngQIE3wRsZp_vyai__MQyE-TozLMC6NdSL2TxCOt_tYWX/s1600/Surrender.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-Ph3pbKwwxhs-Ew86FpN9X3i9Oj9_Et6mpvwCDE1JEq3iOTjSk2GQsJ53IsRR4hPeT893Yq7jIfyFcen8D2brCPIlzC5ar2BngQIE3wRsZp_vyai__MQyE-TozLMC6NdSL2TxCOt_tYWX/s1600/Surrender.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: "merriweather" , "georgia" , serif; font-size: 14px;">“Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love. We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us. The world changes when we change. the world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world.” </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: "merriweather" , "georgia" , serif; font-size: 14px;">― </span><a class="authorOrTitle" href="http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/17297.Marianne_Williamson" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Lato, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Marianne Williamson</a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Surrender by its literal meaning has a negative connotation. It sounds like you need to give up doing what you are doing, nothing is under your control and you just need to fit into some one else's master plan. But, it's true meaning is the complete opposite of it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
They say in order to get what you want in life, you need to practice complete surrender. The first step in practicing this , is to accept your current life situation as it is. As famous spiritual thinker Eckhart Tolle says -" Accept the isness of the moment". Whether your life situation is good, bad or worse, just accept it as it is without judging it. Acceptance of things as it is stops the constant buzz in your head about your life. Once you pause this constant negative buzz in your head, there will be room for some positive things to come in.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You will be able to analyse your current situation better and start taking action. But, does surrender not mean that i should do nothing ? No. If you are stuck in mud, do you put up your hands and say ok i am stuck. No. you dont do that. Similarly by surrendering you are coming back to the present moment with a clear mind and with actionable insights. If any person is making you unhappy or any situation is irritating you, handle that by being vocal with your thoughts. If you cannot do that, just remove yourself from that place.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Surrender does not mean that you stop going behind your goals/dreams. You do whatever possible to achieve them. But, the only difference is you will stop worrying about things which can go wrong or stop running mental movies about possible future scenarios. Your energy is completely in the now. Like Krishna said -"Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachana". Just focus on your Karma/work , do not worry about the results.Develop a sense of detachment towards the end result. There is no point in thinking about things which are not under your control. Just do your job and get out. Results will follow.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Develop a sense of optimism in everything you do in life. Just remember Hope is the only thing that keeps us alive.It fills you with positive energy to go about some of the toughest situations in life. This will also add a magical touch to whatever you do, making sure you are ahead of others.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It also removes the enormous burden you carry in your head, thinking that you are alone and are responsible for every decision you take. Always believe that there is a higher power that always wants the best things for you in life. If you think you did not get what you wanted, it always means that God has something much better than what you could have possibly imagined. But, you need to allow this higher power to come into your life.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDg7x4KGV78Utrqqn-rzlzrX0by2bpHUTWghxPe57RCMKp9KzYZahc19cojzG3C7PSUHOEFF9MKoZrYXlvbvaZ_AEVVgvSt4m50k4_7mazVKyRGBbAiiPRLY9RpBWGa814j-YmusXrSYBf/s1600/download.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDg7x4KGV78Utrqqn-rzlzrX0by2bpHUTWghxPe57RCMKp9KzYZahc19cojzG3C7PSUHOEFF9MKoZrYXlvbvaZ_AEVVgvSt4m50k4_7mazVKyRGBbAiiPRLY9RpBWGa814j-YmusXrSYBf/s1600/download.png" /></a></div>
Religion has slowly started creeping into every tiny little aspect of life recently. Everyone seems to wear religion on their sleeves. Even a person who does not even think about religion on a day to day basis is being forced to do a rethink and take an extreme position. Then there are those people whose very existence in based on taking extreme views on everything-reason religion.<br />
<br />
It feels like people are taking extreme position and building walls around themselves. Take the social media for example where people are spewing venom against other religions and spreading the word that only my religion is right and the rest all are wrong.They want to throw muck at every other religion.<br />
<br />
So, here are a few things that every religion must do to evolve , stay relevant and most important of all does not see other religions with hatred.<br />
<br />
<b>Stop building walls around yourselves in the name of religion </b>: Every religion should follow an open door principle. Open the doors of your places of worship for anyone and everyone who respects the sanctity of the place. A closed door always gives rise to suspicion that something is being cooked up inside the four walls. The overall mentality of the people should be welcoming and not see people of other religions with suspicion.<br />
<br />
<b>Stop thinking only your religion is right</b> : Respect other religions for god's sake. I have heard preachers who run famous television channels with peace in it's name doing the exact opposite. They are inciting people to think that all the other religions are wrong and only theirs is right. This is making people take a very narrow view of things and attack any other views that are not in alignment with theirs.<br />
<br />
<b>Propagate your religion</b> : Yes . There is nothing wrong in propagating one's religion. Strive to get more and more number of people into your faith. But, do not turn opportunists in the name of god, forcing people to come into your faith using a bait , be it financial assistance, curing a disease,etc<br />
<br />
<b>Stop committing crime in the name of God </b>: Looks at what ISIS is doing in the name of God. No god would tolerate what they are doing to their own brothers and sisters. They have brought disgrace to Islam. People have started using the term "Islamic Terrorism" with ease. They have made the whole world look at Muslims with suspicion. They are normal people going about their life like anyone of us. It has given an opportunity for hypocrites like Donald trump to fuel this anti Islamic sentiment by talking rubbish. <br />
<br />
<b>Stop Minority appeasement </b>: The majority of the country should take special care of the minorities in their country, so that they feel welcome and safe. But, its always a two way hand shake. Minorities have every right to practice their faith. But that does not mean that a few people in continuation of their appeasement politics can behave as if they are allergic to the majority community and their beliefs. Minority propagating their faith is secular, but majority asserting their rights is communal. This is not right. Expecting dignity/respect from the majority community is right, but expecting them to lead an apologetic existence is wrong.<br />
<br />
<b>Consolidate people within your own religion</b>: We have created divisions and sub divisions within our own religion and are fighting among ourselves. Be it Shias and Sunnis in Iraq, Catholic versus protestants in Ireland. In Hinduism we have a long list of people fighting among themselves, discriminating against one another. It has gone to such an extent that a few politicians are forming groups called -" Ahinda"(meaning not Hindu) among the Hindu community. We have a long history of caste discrimination, so much so that we fail to identify as one religion. This is detrimental to the cause of all people coming together under a religion. This should stop once in for all.<br />
<br />
<b>Stop wearing Religion on your sleeves</b> : It is recent phenomenon that people are bringing religion into everything. Take the Yoga for example , which has been accepted worldwide by millions of people. A few people back home have started seeing it through the prism of religion. Off course, no one can deny its roots to Hinduism. But does it mean that you have to kick it away saying it is an imposition on my faith and beliefs. Why do you have to behave as if you are allergic to other religions ? Another example of this allergic syndrome is the famous -" Bharat mata kin jai controversy". I seriously fail to understand how chanting Bharat would demean one's religion. Thank god , such people did not exist during our freedom struggle. There would be no single country as India.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
We have seen CM Siddaramaiah doze off on various occasions like many a inauguration ceremonies and sometimes even in the legislative assembly. It was alright if the CM was found sleeping on some occasions, but the hard truth is the Siddaramaiah Government is seen sleeping over many issues plaguing the state of Karnataka. Be it the drought situation in 17 districts, farmer suicides , safety and security of school kids, garbage crisis to name a few. The government is rather reactive than a proactive one. It almost feels like the CM and his government is waiting for something to happen , so that some action could be taken.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This lackadaisical attitude was clearly evident in many companies leaving the State for greener pastures in AP lured by the high tech chief minister ChandraBabu Naidu. Hero Motors pulling out of the state due to lack of response from the state is a case in point. If the govt would have responded proactively, it would have provided job oppurtunities for many youth in the state. Recently, Chief of Bocsh Dr.Stephen Berns openly chided the Sidaramaih govt for its lazy governance in the presence of top officials and Rural Development minister. He even went to the extent of warning to pull out all the future investments from the state , if things did not improve. This shows the level of frustration among the industry heads in that state, especially this coming from a company that was one of the earliest to setup factories in the state. The same was the case with Infosys which warned of pulling out from building a Tech Park near Devanahalli. It complained that despite money being deposited with the govt for providing basic infrastructure like road,electricity and water, the govt seem to have done nothing for the past 5 years.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Take the 'Garbage Crisis' in Bengaluru which made global headlines. CM Siddaramaiah took the lead and said a long term solution would be found to the issue. But , look at what has been done till now. Where are the long term solutions that were being discussed ? People surrounding the Garbage processing units still have the bear the overflowing leach-ate, the foul smell and off course the diseases that come with it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The general feeling is there is no accountability in the govt. Remember the much criticized junket by the MLAs last year. When the CM was confronted the answer was ''I dont know. Ask some one else". Have you looked at the way the CM talks to the media persons when confronted with questions. There is an overwhelming sense of ego and ''I am not answerable to anyone" tone hidden in it. The issue of his convoy creating huge traffic jams in the city made headlines recently. And what was the answer - "I am the CM and people have to bear with it". These were his exact words.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
CM Siddaramaih still believes in old style politics of freebies - Anna Bhagya, Shaadi Bhagya and what not. Off course , no one can deny the benefits of the Anna Bhagya scheme which is feeding lakhs of poor people. No one is criticizing him for the schemes, but he has to rise up to the 'Development politics''. People now expect to hear about his vision for the state of Karnataka, what are his views on the issues plaguing the state and how he plans to face them. He needs to learn the new style politics from his peers in high performing states. Otherwise people will loose faith in the government . This was clearly evident in the recent BBMP elections, where people voted for the incumbent BJP despite the scams and the rampant corruption, as one commentator said - "People voted for the BJP not beacuse they were good, but they voted because the Congress was bad" .</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Rise Up. Rise Up. Wake Up Sid !!!</div>
</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Last month i met with a small accident. It was like any other day, i started off from office at 7:30 PM, took the usual route back home on my 2 wheeler. I was passing through a deserted area with absolutely no street lights with no people in sight for kilometers. I was at my normal speed , when a black dog decided that it has to cross the road. It came directly under my front wheels. In panic i applied the front disc brakes and the bike came to a screeching halt, but threw me off to the front and was about to land on the ground head first. As a natural reaction, i extended both my hands to avoid getting hurt. The momentum was such that i slide with my hands still touching the ground for another 10-20 feet.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
By the time i realized what had happened, i was in the middle of the road with the bike resting on my stretched left leg. I look at my palms to find that the outer skin had all peeled and the pain was unspeakable. An auto driver just behind me soon stopped the vehicle , lifted my bike ,took me to the side and offered water. I could not even take off my helmet to have a sip and neither could i hold the bottle in my hands. It was then i realized that i had fractured both my hands. Already a group of 3-4 people had gathered around. Someone took off my helmet and made me drink water. Then a guy came forward , turned around my bike and said -"Sir. Sit down you are bleeding and i will take you to the hospital". I promptly sat down and went ahead. I was given first aid and told that both my hands were fractured. This did not come as a shock, as i already knew that it with the pulsating pain that was going through my hands.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We came out of the hospital and the guy was ready again. "Sir. Where do you stay ? I will drop you off to your home. You are not in a position to drive". He also added -"Dont make a call home. They will unnecessarily get panicked". I simply nodded and sat down behind him. On the way home i thanked him and asked him his name . "Ibrahim" he said. "What do you do for living" i asked. "I work in a welding shop nearby" came the reply. Finally we reached home and he was hesitant to come inside.On asked further he said - "Sir. Previously i had taken home some one like you after he met with an accident. Soon after reaching home, his family thought that i was the one who had caused the accident and hit me". I was humbled and called him in. You know that emotions and the kind of reaction that you get in such situations. Even my family was very grateful to Ibrahim for his help.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It was finally time to go to the Hospital and get my hands checked from an orthopedic. " Ibrahim. Please share your mobile number with my mom. I will get in touch with you once things are settled"- i said. He simply nodded his head. On the way to the hospital, i reminded my mom who was back home to take down his mobile number, only to realize that he had already left and he declined to share his number. He had his own reasons for doing that.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After things settled down a bit, it was time for introspection. Fate had it that the dog had to cross the road, i had to fall off my bike and Ibrahim had to be passing by that area. If not him, i would be lying there on the side of the road in a deserted area in the dark, without any possibility of me calling up someone. I thanked god for not letting me in that situation, because i remember cases where we see someone who had just met with an accident and we just pass by thinking that some one else could come for help. What would happen if everyone thought the same way ?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Why did God help me then ? Is it because of the decision i had made, that if i see some accident/trouble, i would do everything in capacity to help ? Or is it my good deeds that saved me ? Some say the dog in fact saved me from a bigger trouble by making me fall and sacrificed itself by going under the wheels of a small truck that was coming from the opposite direction. I have no answers for that. All i know is that it takes a Good Human to help another human in trouble, regardless of the religion, class and all the other distinctions that we make.<b> All i know is a Good guy helped me out. A Good Samaritan Ibrahim.</b></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-weight: bold;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
PS : This is a real incident that happened to me some time back.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
There has been a lot of talk about Road safety recently, especially after the death of Minister Gopinat Munde in a car crash in Delhi. India is said to be in the number one position when it comes to death on the roads due to accidents. According to some reports, 213000 people are killed every year in road accidents in India and millions of others are seriously injured. Why is it that we have so many accidents in the first place ?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Many factors are attributed for the accidents including poor road design, poor infrastructure, overcrowding, lack of enforcement of traffic laws , poor vehicle design and many more. But, the main factor that not many people are talking of is the Bad Driving behaviour. Bad driving is the root cause of all the accidents.It is an all encompassing reason for everything that happens on the roads.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Every day we see people drive like hell on the roads.They assume that driving on the road is a race that every other driver on the road is a competitor. There is no concern for the fellow driver. The overarching mindset is -” I should reach my destination by any means.Go to hell with others”. People are literally going to hell with this mindset. There is not a single journey on our roads when we do not pass by an accident that has just occurred. Some of them so bizarre, that you wonder how could this even happen.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One of the worst driving behaviour is absent minded driving. The driver is completely engrossed in his thoughts.He does not even realize that there is a huge pile up behind him.He does not even mind to look at the rear view mirror. This makes all the drivers lined up behind him start honking and try overtaking him, risking their own lives and the ones coming in the opposite direction. This idiotic behaviour by one driver causes all the other drivers violate the traffic rules and cause unnecessary stress. The same thing happens when one is busy talking on the mobile or to the co passenger.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Me First..Me First syndrome is another important behaviour that we get to see on the roads. People are not willing to wait for the others to pass. They want to have the right of the way.People do this while taking a turn in a busy intersection. Everyone wants to go first, creating a deadlock situation where none of them can move in any direction causing a huge pileup.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bigger vehicle trying to intimidate the smaller ones is a common thing on the roads. People think that bigger vehicles always have a priority over the smaller ones.It is almost like an unwritten rule of the driving rule book. The smaller ones are always intimidated by coming way too close to the vehicle making him/her loose balance and composure.This is the resurgence of our animal instincts , i would say. When the roads are empty, people think they have to race at 80 KM even if it is a residential/School area.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Discrimination i.e treating a certain section of people in a bad way is seen on the roads as well. Pedestrians are second class citizens on the road. They have to wait until the “His Highnesses” pass through. They invariably have to hold their life in their hands and cross the roads and thank the god for not coming under the wheels of any vehicle for yet another day. Our treatment of women as being mere objects continues even on the roads. Women drivers are often given long stares in traffic signals. Women 2 wheeler riders are often chased by bastards with unsatisfied sexual cravings.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Basically, our driving behaviour highly reflects the society we are living in and level of civilized or uncivilized behaviour we have. The proposed Road Safety Bill proposes huge fines for traffic violations and bad vehicle design. It also talks of building world class infrastructure and high tech traffic management. But, it does not talk of doing anything about changing the Driving Behaviour/Mentality. There is no point in having a world class infrastructure , if we are exhibit this uncivilized and ghastly driving behaviour. As the old saying goes-”The dog will only shit, even if you make it sit on the throne”. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, we need to sensitize people of showing courtesy and behave in a civilized way. This should be a part of curriculum while giving Driving Licenses. This skill should also be tested during the driving Tests. Passing a Driving Test should be as difficult as passing a matriculation exam. This is because , even if you fail in your matriculation exams you can take it again. But, you do not get this chance if you fail on the roads. It will either take the life of others or your own. Those not falling in line should be shamed and heavily penalized. At the end of the day people should take driving seriously.Driving is a skill that has to be improved over a period of time and not something that you acquire the skill and act foolish on the roads. Foolishness can cost lives you see and we cant be loosing 213000 people every year due to our foolishness. We will be the biggest bunch of fools in the world then.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I had not thought even in my wildest dreams that i would visit London one day.In fact it was not even on my list of cities to visit in Europe.I dont know, the fate had it or should i say -"London was Calling ", i visited the city.Infact i had a personal prejudice against this city , because it is the people from this land that ruled over us for over a century and did what not to keep our country under their reigns.It is the same people who looted our country and took back so many things to their land including our Kohinoor as war bounty.I already had some vague idea of how the city would be.Thanks to movies like DDLJ,London dreams,Namaste London and not to forget those Gurinder chadda films like It's a wonderfull AfterLife.After landing in London, i realised that London is definitely what it is shown to be in the movies.What i had seen in the films was not a glorified or hyped up version of London.This is how London is .A truly vibrant and modern city.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One of the things that strikes you the most after landing in London, is the the presence of a large Indian diaspora.Indians are everywhere .Right from the Taxi driver, the man at the ticketing counter in the Tubes,McDonalds to every other imaginable place.If you look around in the tube on a typical weekday rush hour, you will see atleast 4 in every 10 people is an indian.And, they have established themselves in the city in such a way that you instantly see that indian flavour and colour in it.Like keeping the fruits and vegetables for display in the footpaths in front of the stores and pukka Indian like Road rage.You will see people driving like hell like they do back in our country , without giving a damn to the traffic rules and pedestrians.Loved the masala dosa,vada,mysore masala dosa's from "Aaha Dosa"- a typical south indian restuarant in Hounslow suburb.Especially when i was seeing all these after quite a long time.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One of the experiences that anyone visiting London will have to go through (almost ritual like) is "The London Tube experience".What a huge and complicated network it has.You will be intimidated by the complex maps,colour codings and terms like picadally Line,district line,victoria line and what not.You will feel like scratching your head.But, this is only on the first day.The next day onwards you will comfortably interpret the Maps ,change stations and reach your destination in no time.One thing that i observed in the Tubes is that no one cares what the other person is doing or thinking about you.Everyone is immersed in his/her own world.You will see one person busy listening to his ipod, the other reading the newspaper and couples involved in a liplock in a crowded rush hour train.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There is a piece of history in every brick in London and that is what makes London stand out from the crowd.Take the London tube for example .It is one of the oldest underground railway in the world and also served as a shelter to the citizens of London during the world war 2 airstrikes on London.Another example is the the London bridge.It was completely destroyed in the late 18th century and was rebuilt again later.Another example is the Hyde park and Sherlock Holme's Bakers street,which you will find mentioned in many novels.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There is a sense of awe in most of the places you see in London.I was really awestruck seeing the Coronation throne in Westminister's abbey, after realizing the grandiose scale in which the coronation ceremony takes place.Another major attraction that cast a spell on me was the Kohinoor diamond in the Tower of London.I could not believe the fact that the world famous Kohinoor diamond was inches before my eyes.I was really ecstatic after seeing the kohinoor diamond.I wanted to tell the whole world that i had seen the famous stone.I felt as if i had accomplished something in life.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There is an air of romance in most of the places in London and no wonder couples have a great time wandering through the city at their own pace, without attracting eyeballs unlike our country.I have no words to describe my feelings walking the night on the Banks of river Thames, with London Eye completely lit up with blue lights on one side and the Parliament house and the Big Ben on the other.The song/dance ,silent street performances added up to the already lively atmosphere.Really wished i had a girlfriend by my side, so that we could hold hands and endlessly stroll the whole night ,obsorbing the romantic vibes and looking at the night sky.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are so many facets of this city and so many experiences to be had, that you feel there is still so much more left to be discovered .This city has given me so many wonderfull memories that i will cherish for life.I really have to thank London for that.I am getting filmy now and i have to say this dialogue(modified a bit though) of Akshay Kumar from Namaste London-</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Coming from a Land of a 2000 year old civilization, we bow to you and thank you London with folded hands, as we think that we are not below or above anyone ".</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Namaste London !!!"</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Destination</td></tr>
</tbody></table>We are obssesed with our dreams.We are always in a hurry to reach our destination.In this hurry-burry we tend to forget the path we traversed to reach our destination.We forget the people we met , the experiences we had, the lessons we learnt during our journey. These are the people whom we will meet again at some point of time and then we will realise how important they were and the role they played in you reaching your destination.The same is the case with the experiences both good and bad that we had during our journey.So, i would say that -"It is the journey, not the destination that matters". I literally learnt the true meaning of this phrase yesterday.<br />
<br />
We had planned for a small weekend picnic at a nearby place.We had to walk for about 6 kms to reach the place.Our plan to start at 11 got delayed due to various circumstances and finally we started at 3,knowing the fact that it would get dark in another 2 hours.The walk was truly memorable, as this was the first time i was exploring a foreign country and that too on foot.The chill weather coupled with mist added even more colour to the atmosphere.Then started our photo sessions with each one of us posing in different ways looking in different directions.As we moved on, we started entering the uncharted teritorry with some lonely houses here and there, completely decked up for christmas celebrations with little cowardly dogs barking at us intruders , who had spoilt the calm atmosphere with our continous chatter.<br />
<br />
The roads started getting narrower and narrower with the light going dimmer and dimmer.Then came the graveyard with spooky trees all around .We tried to click some pictures there and got some smoky figures in the photo.Offcourse it was the fog, but it gave us a new topic to start using our imagination and weave some stories of paranormal activity.We also found some old deserted houses with no human being till kilometers ahead.Then there were crows sitting on the electric wires, which reminded me of the movie: Jeepers-Creepers.In doing all this we had almost forgotten that we had some destination to reach.But, it was too late as the sun had gone down completely and it was not safe to go ahead anymore.<br />
<br />
We were not at all dissapointed that we could not reach our destination because we had so many sweet little memories all through our journey ,that the destination did not matter much.One of us was even of the opinion that we had already crossed our destination.We also had plans of telling everyone that we reached our destination and the walk was really good,but unfortunately that did not happen.Our long walk was worth it, even though we did not achieve what we had set out to.<br />
<br />
The same is the case with our lives. We need to set our goals,but we should not be blind to the things that we come across while walking towards our goal.It is these people,experiences both good and bad that makes us realise the true meaning of achieving our goal. These are the ones that show us a different path, in case we dont reach our set goal.<br />
<br />
So, i say it again-"It is the Journey, not the destination that matters".nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6282363608755571096.post-84036376325056517032010-11-21T09:26:00.000-08:002010-11-21T09:54:15.452-08:00Bye Bye Great Souls<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>

<br />
Cooking inside a Hotel Room is banned,especially if it is a 3-star hotel..you know what i mean.I heard of an incident where one indian guy was found cooking inside the hotel room(3-star).He had been doing this from the past 1 week, despite knowing the fact that it should not be done.So, The Hotel took up the issue with the employer and put a blanket ban on indians from entering the hotel.They have virtually put up a board "Indians Not Allowed".The question is -"Is this the right way of dealing with the issue.Does it mean that if one indian does something wrong, does it mean that all the indians will do the same? Is it correct to generalise the issue from an individual to the whole?<br />
<br />
We indians are very good at crossing the roads.We dont look for the Zebra crossing to get to the other side of the road.Whenever we feel like crossing the road, we just cross.Some of us look on the either sides and then go ahead, while some of us just go ahead without giving a dam for the oncoming Traffic.Some of us are even right in crossing the roads in this manner because, the concept of pedesetrian crossing is completely absent .Another thing is if wait for the incoming traffic to slow down to cross the road, it might just be impossible to get to the other side in our country.There are offcourse exceptions to the above.So, if we have have a particular road culture, there is a strong reason for that and it is hard to let go of it.We carry the same thing when we visit some other countries where people are hypersensitive to issues like this.<br />
<br />
Another issue that deserves mention here is that of personal space.We indians are used to crowded places, where you cannot even think of maintaining personal space. Think of travelling in local Trains, buses where your hand will be on someone else's shoulders and his legs will be over yours. And i need not talk about the various scents and smells in such conditions.But , people else where have a completely different definition for this personal space. I personally came across a situation like this very recently.I came into the changing room after the gym.I found that some guy was standing in front of the my locker. There was very little space behind him.But, i just managed to squeeze myself in that space to reach my locker."Stay There..."- the guy said with angry look.It was then i realised that i had got too close to him(As per his definition.As per my standards, i was maintaining a good distance from him, as i had not touched him).<br />
<br />
We love anything and everything that comes free.We grab whatever that comes free .Whether it is of any use to us or not is a different question.I heard of instances where some of our indian friends being sent back to the parent company from the client location for taking the small milk cans in the pantry to use them later, taking a bunch of office stationary for personal use at home.<br />
<br />
And , last but not the least it is a fact that we indians are making in roads in every field leaving every one behind. We are good technically, we can speak good English and more than anything the way we were brought up and the kind of environment in which we have grown up makes us see the positive aspects of everything and we feel that everything is so easy out here.Take for example, driving a car in a western country.If you have driven a car in any of our metros , then driving on silk smooth roads where every one follows the traffic rules should not be a big deal.The same is the case with many other things.<br />
<br />
Therefore, i believe it is our -"Hum Aise Hi Hai" attitude and others feeling jealous of our progress that makes outsiders look at us in the way they do.Some of them go to the extreme and become racist.nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6282363608755571096.post-41489150457705920382010-11-07T05:15:00.000-08:002010-11-07T05:15:44.241-08:00My First Travel AbroadI had never been on a flight before and here i was ready to board an international flight, change 2 flights and 1 bus in a foriegn country i had never been to.All the immigration,checkin,security procedures seemed very intimidating.Travel briefing in the company, tips from collegues /friends seemed to turn the situation even more tense.With so many things going on in my mind , i finally came to BIAL to board a flight to Frankfurt along with my family. That added an extra emotional baggage to my already overloaded mind.<br />
<br />
Finally it was time to checkin at the aiport and say goodbye to my family. I had thought that i would cry at this moment, but i dont know why and how , but was able to control my emotions , especially in front of my mom who was on the brink of breaking down. Then went inside the airport only to find that all the intimidating procedures were simple formalities to be finsished and did not seem complicated any more. Later came boarding the plane.To my surprise it was a Boeing 747, which i had seen only in Discovery Channel and was really excited to board this mighty Beast.It was time for take off finally.The only thing that came to my mind was the program "Air Crash Investigations" on National Geographic Channel. The take off was very smooth and without even realising, the plane was already in air.<br />
<br />
I wanted to take out the seat belts only to find that i did not know how to take it off.I looked around to take some help from the Air Hostesses, only to find none. Then i hesitatingly asked my fellow German Passenger grinningly.She was more then ready to help me out with a friendly smile. Then came the time to eat the so called Hindu Vegetarian meal on board.There was something that resemled idli, seviyan along with black coffe,butter and fruit paste. Horrible food coupled with reapeted landings/takeoffs turned my stomach into biogas plant.Finally i landed in Dublin.The aiport was looking completely empty. I was really surprised to find an aiport with so little people.It looked more like a 3 star hotel, than an aiport.<br />
<br />
Came out of the Airport to take the bus to Dublin. The buses were really superb. I got onto one of the Scania buses and sat in the front row itself so that i could talk to the driver about where/when to get down." Could you pls tell me when Athlone comes?"- i asked the driver with a smile.He returned with a prompt reply -"Sure..It will be about 4 in the evening by the time we reach Athlone".One thing that struck me was everyone entering the bus wished the driver and even the driver prompltly replied back with a friendly smile.Do we ever do this in our country? Even if we wish the driver, do you think that we will ever recieve any reply, let alone a friendly smile.<br />
<br />
The travel from Dublin to Athlone was a memorable one.I did not want the journey to end as the scenery around was really superb.There was endless greenery on either sides of the road.One thing that struck me was there were only green pastures all over, i did not find fields growing vegetables,rice or anything else. Later i came to know from people here that they dont grow anything except apples.Everything is got into the country from outside.Finally , i reached my destination Athlone.But, still i could not realise that i was in fact in a foreign country and not india.Everything around me was looking like a scene from a yash chopra film.<br />
<br />
Even after spending 3 days here at Athlone, i am not reallly feeling that i am in a foreign land which i used to see in the movies.nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6282363608755571096.post-66816204573054474132010-04-02T06:59:00.000-07:002010-04-02T06:59:56.476-07:00Making a Village Self Sufficient : Employment<ul><li>Each Village to have a registry of workers under different categories like agricultural workers,carpenters,black smiths,mechanics,painters,etc. Complete details along with contact information is to be maintained properly.Any one searching for labour can access this registry and contact the respective people.This registry can be maintained at the local Gram Panchayat office.The same can be used for schemes like NREGA.</li>
<li>Each Village is to have Transportation facilities to the taluk headquarters and the neighbouring villages.This can be achieved by operating Vans of suitable capacity between the Villages.This job can be taken up by a group of village youth.Loans can be provided under PMRY scheme.This will provide employment oppurtunities to the village youth.</li>
<li>There is a great demand for certain skilled workers like gardeners,etc in the cities.People who have some specialised knowledge about agriculture can accept contracts with individual residences in the nearby cities for looking after their gardens for a suitable monthly fee.They can fix a definite schedule and travel to the cities, finish their work and return back to their homes.Such people can register into a Registry after which their contact information will be put up on a website.People in Urban areas can get the contact information from the website and get their work done.</li>
<li>Every district should have large no. of industries which can provide employment oppurtunities to the educated youth in their respective districts.This would prevent large scale migration of youth to the cities in search of jobs.They should be able to travel to work on a daily basis.</li>

<ul><li>Good Roads connecting the village to the Taluk headquarters and the neighbouring Villages.The funds for this must come from the government.This cannot be developed under PPP as it is done in the cities, as poor villagers who fight for 1 square meal a day cannot be expected to pay for using the roads and other facilities.</li>

<li>A young educated Village Youth could be appointed as a Village cordinator for all the agriculture related activities.He should be a single point of contact for buying/Selling agricultural implements,fertilizers and other items.The Farmers can place an order for getting the above products with the cordinator, who in turn would place the order with the dealers in the taluk headquarters.The cordinator will also look into the logistical aspects also.So, all that the farmer has to do is contact the cordinator for buying his agricultural inputs.</li>

<li>A Gobar gas plant setup in the village will provide electricity to the water pumps in the fields.All the inputs necessary like cow dung and other waste will be provided by the villagers themselves. The technical expertise will be provided by some government owned Research Institutes.</li>
<li>A grainary and Cold Storage facility will also be built in each village.All the produce will be stored here until a good price is obtained in the market.</li>
<li>A Farmers Association will be setup in each Village.It will act as a platform for farmers to discuss problems,share ideas and expertise with their fello men.They can be contacted by any seed,fertiliser companies,etc to demonstrate their products.</li>
<li>Farmers with small pieces of Land can com together for Social Farming.Yound and educated villagers would look after the overall management of the social farm.The income would be divided suitably among the farmers.This will also provide employment oppurtunities to the Village Youth in agriculture.</li>

This is because Raje is a mass leader with a huge following within the party.BJP cannot stand to loose its ground in Rajasthan by dealing with her in a similar way.Jaswant was not a mass leader, so the consequences of not having him on board was not that much .But, that is not the case with Raje.So, definitely Raje will be given preferential Traetment.<br /><br />If this is the way ahead for BJP, the day is not far when it will loose all its top brass in petty fights.nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6282363608755571096.post-13530752526907877162009-03-12T21:59:00.000-07:002009-03-12T22:19:32.952-07:00Recession Series :Government policies and the common manRecession has not spared any one this time.Every one starting from the exporters, IT companies to small businesses are feeling the pinch.Business is down everywhere.There are lay offs in the software industry,small time diamond workers in surat have lost their jobs, Textile workers are also loosing their jobs.But, Is the Government doing anything in this regard ?Lets analyse some of the key steps taken by the present govt and how it is affecting the common man.<br /><ul><li>Government did something in the form of stimulus.RBI reduced the interest rates in order ease up liquidity.It thought , this move will put more money into the hands of people.People will take loans and buy cars, apartments,etc.This in turn will trigger demand in the related sectors thereby improving the economic condition of the country.But, how many people will benifit from that? Only a few elite sectors like automobile,real estate will benifit.It will definitely not help the common man on the street.</li><li>Another measure that the govt took was to reduce the price of aviation fuel.This will no doubt help the ailing airline companies which are already suffering a lot from reduced demand for travel.Now the situation is such that the aviation fuel has become cheaper than common mans fuel like diesel and petrol. What an irony ? The govt is helping the rich stay rich , even in times of economic down turn by providing stimulus at the cost of common man.</li><li>Another much publicised project of the UPA govt is the NREGA. This has definitely given employment oppurtunities to large no. of rural poor.Though there have been criticisms of NREGA , about large scale corruption, use of machines instead of people in carrying out the development works under the scheme,etc.But it has atleast provided jobs to the rural poor.Its reach is such that even the workers who lost jobs in the cities are returning back to their villages , where they can get employed under NREGA.</li></ul><p>In my next posts we will discuss a few things about what the givernment can do in order to help the common man.</p>nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6282363608755571096.post-58530398915134668582009-02-11T22:16:00.000-08:002009-03-12T22:48:07.474-07:00Recession Series : Life in an IT firmRecession is everywhere.It has hit the banking,textile , real estate , automobile and all the sectors.But, where the effectt of recession is hyped the most is in the IT industry.Because it the sector where you can see the drastic effects of the global economic dowturn.<br /><br />You can literally see the effect recession has had in the face of these IT guys.It can very much be seen on their face.There is sombre mood everywhere.It starts in the company bus in the morning.There is no smile on any ones face.Every day seems like monday.It seems these people are carrying the whole world on their heads.<br /><br />Next is the cafeteria, where in you dont hear any words except project ramp down,free pool,bench, loosing clients.There is no occasional loud laughters by a group of girls.Every one is immersed in his own world.<br /><br />Then people who are into some projects and have some work , go on with their work.Even they are an unhappy lot,as they have to put in more efforts for the same pay.There is pressure from the managers to meet the deadlines.It can also sometimes turn harsh and rude, because they know that there is no oppurtunity anywhere else.One has to continue slavery under this manager for a long time to come.<br /><br />Friday is not the most expected day of the week anymore. Friday evening team meetings usually end with statements like-"So , are we all coming to office this weekend. Lets all finish off the work that we have by this weekend...".<br /><br />So, when does an IT guy live a life for himself ???????????nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6282363608755571096.post-35182144649369046632009-02-11T19:14:00.000-08:002009-02-11T19:29:51.620-08:00Nautanki in state LegislaturesWe all saw our the scenes of our legislators jumping on the desks,throwing and tearing out papers and almost trying to assault the speaker of the house in the last 3 days.It was not an isolated incident.First it was the turn of UP assembly, then came AP and now Orissa.The scene is the same in all the 3 state legislative assemblies.<br /><br />I doubt all this slogan shouting, jumping on the desks of the speaker and other things are scripted to the finest detail by the political leaderships of these MLAs.These MLAs think that by displaying their nautanki in the assembly session where there is huge media presence will bring them in the spot light and they can appease their vote bank about how much they care and struggle on important issues.<br /><br />Its really a national shame to see our elected representatives behave like this in these great instituitions of democracy.I felt really bad that we have elected such monkeys to rule us and do something good for us.These are the ones who frame the policies and manage the finances of the people.<br /><br />Until and unless some educated and professionals enter politics, the nautanki of our elected representatives will continue.But , are we the educated and professionals ready to enter politics ? That is the big question...nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6282363608755571096.post-82357452131988698582009-02-11T19:07:00.000-08:002009-02-11T19:12:47.997-08:00Lok Sabha 2009 series : Voter Facilitation centresThe election comission has established one stop shop for all your Voter registration and other problems.These are called the "Voter Facilitation centres" or VFC.The following are the services provided by these VFCs :<br /><br /><ul><li>Adding your name into Electoral list</li><li>Deleting your name from the electoral list</li><li>Change of address within your constituency</li><li>Correction in your registration details</li><li>Any other queries related to elections</li></ul><p>It is established in all the districts of karnataka with 7 in bangalore alone.It will be open on weekends also,so that working professionals can also avail of the services.</p><p>Make best use of it and please make sure that you are voting this time..</p><p> </p>nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6282363608755571096.post-31200285060967722652009-02-08T20:24:00.000-08:002009-02-08T21:26:15.865-08:00Lok Sabha 2009 series :To Do ListThe following are some of the must do in the run up to the lok sabha elections in april 2009.We especially the youth need to do these things, because this time around which party comes to power at the centre will have a huge bearing on the issues related to youth like Joblosses, new employment oppurtunities,communalism, moral policing and many more..<br /><br />So, the following is a tentative list of the things one needs to do in the runup to the Lok Sabha Elections:<br /><br /><ul><li>Get to know your constituency</li><li>Collect info about the major parties and the candidates who are in the fray.Please do not ignore loud announcements over loud speakers campaigning for some candidate.</li><li>Get to know about the background,qualifications and the qualities of various candiadates.You can get to know the info about the candidates from the Election comission website.Also, talk to the people in your neighbourhood and get to know the real person behind the candidate.</li><li>Closely follow up the election campaign of various candidates in your constituency and get to know of their ideas and opinions on various issues.This will help you decide whom to vote and why to vote for.</li><li>Check whether your name is included in the electoral list.If not get it added.Vist <a href="http://www.jaagore.com/">www.jaagore.com</a> for more info.</li><li>Having an election card is not mandatory to vote.If you have a valid identity proof like DL,Passport,ration card,etc.</li><li>Get to know of the election date in your constituency</li><li>Please make it a point to get out of your home and vote on the day of elections</li><li>Please do not treat the election day as just another holiday and go for shopping.</li></ul><p>Read on my further posts in this "Lok Sabha2009 Series"......</p>nithinbrighthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07162865214154283622noreply@blogger.com0
